COURSE SCHEDULE
One-week course schedule:
Day 1: Arrival at the Madrid Airport pick-up. Transport to Alcalá residence hall
Welcome reception
Days 2-5: Planned lesson from 9am – 2pm with a 15-minute coffee break
Lunch from 2pm – 3:30pm
Historical/cultural activity* from 3:30pm – 8:30pm
Dinner at 9pm
Day 6: Closing keynote
Presentation of certificates and class photograph
Goodbye lunch
Afternoon free-time
Transport to airport
* Historical/cultural activities can include: Day one: Alcalá de Henares (birthplace of Cervantes, old town,
cathedral, etc). Days 2–5: Madrid I (Prado Museum and Queen Sofia Museum), Madrid II (Plaza Mayor
and Royal Palace), Toledo, Don Quixote Route and El Escorial. Recommended arrival on Sunday and
return Saturday morning.
