Display the
Musical Instruments
Photo Cards that show the families of
instruments. Explain to students that musical instruments are grouped into
four families: woodwind, percussion, string, and brass. Have students look
up the definitions of these words in the dictionary. Write their definitions on
the board for use with the closing activity of this lesson.
Note:
The phonics
activities on the back of each photo card may be used to supplement
instruction.
